The One & Only Cindy
An epic tale of questionable decisions, geographic confusion, and the world's longest U-turn back to Utah. Sometimes the scenic route is just getting lost. ๐บ๏ธ๐
* Made with love (and light roasting) by her Utah fam. Cindy did NOT approve this message. ๐
Once Upon a Time in Utah...
In a land of mountains, Mormons, and fry sauce, a legend was born. Well, "legend" might be generous. Let's say "chaos agent."
Born & Raised (Utah's Problem Now)
Growing up in Utah, Cindy developed two key skills: an ability to create chaos wherever she goes, and an inexplicable urge to leave Utah only to crawl back to Utah. It's like a boomerang that complains the whole way. ๐ช
๐ต "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave..." - Hotel California, but make it Utah
The Resume That HR Wasn't Ready For
Cindy's LinkedIn would give recruiters a stroke. Her resume reads like a fever dream. Buckle up, buttercup.
Crime Scene Cleanup
Yes, you read that correctly. While you were complaining about your office job, Cindy was out here dealing with actual nightmare fuel. She's seen things that would make most people quit their entire life. Respect... and also, girl, are you okay? ๐ช
"What do you do for work?" "Oh, you know, the thing from your nightmares." ๐
Construction
Plot twist: Cindy said "forget cleaning up messes, I'll make buildings instead." She picked up power tools and somehow didn't hurt herself (we were all surprised). Honestly, she's got more practical skills than most of us. ๐จ
Brighton Recovery Center
Housekeeping at Brighton Recovery Center! From crime scenes to helping people on the road to recovery. Cindy really said "I'll clean up ALL types of messes." At least this one came with less trauma and more gratitude. ๐
Creating a clean, peaceful environment for people on their journey to recovery.
Rocky Mountain Care Center
Cindy brought her unhinged energy to Rocky Mountain Care Center! After years of chaotic jobs, she finally found something wholesome. The residents probably love her energy. She's like a hurricane, but a caring one. ๐๐
Career Summary
To recap: Crime scenes โ Construction โ Recovery Center โ Healthcare. If this was a video game, Cindy picked RANDOM for every career choice and somehow it's working. Her resume looks like she's speedrunning the job market. ๐ฎ
Cindy Makes A Choiceโข
In the grand tradition of bad decisions, Cindy packed up her whole life and moved across the country with her "friend" Mollie. Spoiler alert: it didn't end well. ๐ฉ
The Great Migration (Mistake)
Cindy packs up her entire life and moves to PENNSYLVANIA with Mollie. Pennsylvania. She left Utah's beautiful mountains for... Amish country and gas station hoagies. Big brain move. ๐ง
Narrator: It was not, in fact, a big brain move.
The PA Experience:
- Expected: Best friend adventures! New life! ๐ฏโโ๏ธ
- Reality: East coast attitudes and no mountains ๐
- Plot Twist: Mollie drama incoming... ๐ฉ
- Result: A learning experience (that's the nice way to say it)
The Mollie Situationโข
So about that "friend" Mollie... let's just say things went south. Real south. The friendship? โจ Imploded โจ
Cindy found herself stuck in Pennsylvania, no bestie, surrounded by cheesesteaks and regret. Classic. ๐ง๐
Lesson learned: Don't move across the country for people. Move for yourself. Or better yet, don't move at all. Stay in Utah. ๐๏ธ
Denver: The "I'm Not Lost, I'm Exploring" Phase
After the Mollie disaster, Cindy needed somewhere to lick her wounds. Enter Denver - close enough to Utah to seem like progress, far enough to pretend she meant to do this.
Mile High City (Mile High Denial)
Denver gave Cindy some time to "find herself" (read: avoid admitting Utah was right all along). She could see the mountains and pretend they were Utah's mountains if she squinted hard enough. ๐
At least Colorado has legal weed to help process that Mollie trauma. And mountains! Almost like home but with more craft breweries and less family judgment. ๐บ
"Colorado is just Utah with an identity crisis" - Cindy, probably ๐
UTAH: "We Told You So" ๐
After touring half the country like a confused homing pigeon with commitment issues, Cindy FINALLY admits what we all knew: Utah was always the answer. That's 2+ years she'll never get back, but hey, character development! ๐
She's FINALLY Back!
After her East Coast disaster and Colorado layover, Cindy dragged herself back to Utah like a cat who ran away and came back skinnier and humbled. We didn't say "we told you so" out loud. We just thought it. Very loudly. ๐๏ธ๐
YOUR UTAH FAMILY'S REACTION:
"FINALLY! She's done being ridiculous!"
(We've been waiting. Patiently. So patiently. ๐ค๐)
Your Utah family missed you SO much! But also we were right the whole time and we're not gonna let you forget it. Group chat is thriving, the roasting is back on, and Utah feels complete now that our favorite mess is home! ๐ฏโโ๏ธโจ
"Sometimes you have to move across the country, lose a friend, and waste a few years to realize you should have just stayed home." - Cindy, probably
We could have told you that for free, but sure, take the scenic route. ๐๐๏ธ
Cindy: A Summary
In conclusion, Cindy is proof that some people have to do the absolute most just to end up exactly where they started. She took the LONGEST possible route to arrive back at square one. Impressive, honestly.
She cleaned up crime scenes, swung hammers, scrubbed recovery centers, cared for the elderly, trusted the wrong friend, fled to Denver, and eventually crawled back home. That's not a career path, that's a whole adventure game with multiple side quests. ๐ฎ
But Wait, There's More! ๐ช
Think that's all? Oh honey, we're just getting started.

(Who are SO happy you finally came to your senses!)
* A celebration of friendship, adventure, and coming home. ๐
